Crosshatch

I recently got this new pattern, and couldn't wait to try it out:
I started pulling fabrics from my stash to try it out. Here's the group I decided on:

Quick cutting and simple construction made this pattern super FAST to put together! Just 3 days of casual sewing and I have a finished quilt top!!

All of Shea's patterns are designed to look a lot more complicated than they really are, which I really like about them. I think this pattern is pretty awesome, and would definitely make it again. Maybe a Crosshatch quilt along in the future...?! I do heart quilt alongs. Oh - and think of all the amazing color pairings you could do with this pattern!!!    :)

Most exciting of all (for me anyway), I plan to quilt this myself on my new quilt frame! I still haven't been able to try it out yet, but I will very soon. After a little practice, I hope to feel confident enough to dive into quilting this top. Wish me luck!
